NEW BRAUNFELS FIRE STATION No. 2

As part of a project that included the construction of two new fire stations, No. 2 and No. 3, under one contract, this two-story fire station includes living areas with sleeping room for up to 13 firefighters, bathrooms, commercial kitchen, dayroom, offices and weight room. At approximately 15,095 SF, Station No. 2 houses four apparatus bays and support spaces, as well as an elevator, secure parking, EMS storage and bunker gear storage. A combination of brick, cementitious siding and metal siding with a metal roof make up the exterior. The new fire station replaced an aging and outgrown facility built in 1975 just a few miles away on Loop 337 and houses an engine, medical unit, hazmat unit and a battalion chief.
