NB HOUSING PARTNERS – FIRST FOOTING REMODEL

This project included the renovation of two existing single-story buildings, previously New Braunfels Fire Station No. 2 (built in 1975). The renovation included an almost-complete interior gutting of the old living quarters and vehicular garage area in Building 1 (approximately 2,900 SF), and transforming those spaces into new offices, restrooms and sleeping quarters, as well as laundry facilities and a health support room in Building 2 (approximately 500 SF of the 2,100 SF building). Along with the interior remodeling, additional scope included providing modifications to some of the concrete walkways, roofing repairs, new site utilities, fencing and exterior painting. The conversion of these buildings enables the NB Housing Partners First Footing program to provide social, behavioral, and health support services and assist in long-term affordable housing options to help reduce homelessness in the community.
