Completion June 2017

Located behind the façade of an old bank building off Main Plaza, a public restroom facility was constructed to make the downtown area more inviting to tourists and pedestrians and relieve local merchants and businesspeople from frequent restroom requests. With all stainless-steel fixtures that are raised off the ground, the women’s facility has two sinks and four stalls, including one that is ADA accessible, and the men’s facility is equipped with one ADA accessible stall, two urinals and a sink. The restroom is lighted at night and features red brick tile to match the building next door. The project stemmed from the City of New Braunfels’ Downtown Implementation Plan, which recommended improvement of the infrastructure downtown to promote development, future investment, and to encourage pedestrian traffic in the area.
